Phew! It’s over!
March 31, 2008As some of you know, I belong to CCMOMC (Chester County Mom’s of Multiples Club). It’s a fairly large club (about 200 members +) and we had our bi-annual clothing/toy/misc sale. I’ve been getting ready for this sale for a little while now, but this past week and half has been insane! I tagged about 250 clothes/toys/etc. I stayed up many nights until midnight and also let the house go to the crapper this past week. =)
Friday night was our setup and then Saturday was the sale. We all had to work a shift, so mine was the clean-up shift. I think for the next sale in September, I’m going to kindly ask Steve to work my shift.
I worked so hard the week prior, that I was exhausted by the time the sale got here. I sold a majority of my things – which was great! I’m anxious to find out how much $ I made! I’m thinking around $300-400. (our club website is www.ccmomc.org and if you click on clothing sale, you can see how large it is!)
Prior to the sale, I’ve been listing lots of baby gear on craigslist, my on-line exchange at work and to my mom’s club forum. I sold a LOT of the gear the weeks prior to the sale. Thank goodness I did that, as I would have never been able to take it all to the sale. I must admit it’s a little sad seeing the last of the baby era go. I found some of the outfits the kids wore as infants and it really brought back lots of fun memories. It also made me realize how fast time really does fly! It does just seem like yesterday that the boys were infants, lying in their bassinets in our bedroom. <tear> Now we’re yelling at them to stop jumping on our bed! LOL
Our attic is now looking nice and cleaned out. It’s nice to have the ability to walk from one end to the other. Now we’re on to the rest of the house! :)
You go Em and Steve! I’ve been in that attic…so I know what you’re talking about. Wow, that’s quite the accomplishment to have it all cleaned out. Keep up the spring cleaning!
Ah—memories! It almost seems like ‘yesterday’ you were all home and playing together!! I guess I sound like an oldie!! Great work on cleaning out!
oh Em I recall parting with Catie’s clothes on Ebay when we found out Owen was coming. Each package I mailed made me tear up, but it was neat to watch her put it in the mail bin at the post office. I kept a few special pieces which made it easier…sigh.
BTW I told one of my babyzone gals about the sale and she got a bunch of good deals, small world huh? Awesome that you made so much $$$, you & Steve should go away for the weekend!
I already have the Fall Sale on my calendar
I will be glad to help you again. It was great being able to shop early with you!
